Our Story

This story began years ago when I was a horse crazy kid growing up in Connellsville Pennsylvania and couldn't afford lessons.  Who knew that when I discovered a horse camp as a young teen, it would lay the foundation of a relationship with Jesus unlike I had ever known, and that it would shape my entire life to come?!   God's love was more tangible for me one particular week of camp than I had ever experienced before and all I did know was that I wanted to be part of a place that created an environment for others to feel the unconditional love that I was feeling at camp.  A handful of years later His Barn opened in South Carolina in 2000. We've experienced many bumps, bruises and changes along the way coupled with the joy of loving and being loved by many in our southern home. Now our biggest change of relocating to Waynesburg Pennsylvania in January 2026 is proving to be as equally amazing! Some things will not change though - my passion to share the world of horses in a safe and enjoyable way;  a dedication to pursue God and walk out my life according to His word and His love as best as I can-even when I fail at it; and my commitment to offer the very best I have, no matter how small or big.  God never disappoints and is always on time so Momma Shirley and I are excited to see what awaits us in this next chapter. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve as I anticipate whose lives we will get to be a part of next. God did not cross our paths by accident!

I'm looking forward to expanding our barn family here and welcoming our family from the south any time they can journey north.

This place has been and continues to be built for you.

Love and hugs to you all!

-Jillian
