Our Story

This story began years ago when I was a horse crazy kid in Pennsylvania.  Neither horse ownership nor lessons were an option though so when a friend discovered a summer horse camp not too far away, God was clearly behind the deal.  That camp became a rock in my life as I continued going throughout my teenage years.  I even got to work for the barn one summer and stay connected to those mentors and the camp for many years following.  God's love was more tangible for me one particular week of camp than I had ever experienced before and seeds for this place were planted in my heart.  I wanted to be part of a place that created an environment for others to feel the unconditional acceptance that I was feeling at camp.  His Barn opened in 2000 and has experienced many bumps, bruises and changes along the way.  Some things have not changed though - my passion to share the world of horses in a safe and enjoyable way;  a dedication to pursue God and walk out my life according to His word and His love as best as I can, even when I fail at it; and my commitment to offer the very best I have, no matter how small or big.
