Everyone who has completed two weeks of C.I.T. camp and all returning volunteer counselors: We will be holding MANDATORY camp training Monday June 8 - Friday June 12 from 2:00-5:00 each day. You must plan on attending if you are volunteering for us this summer! For the kids who are still in school, contact me and we will see what can be arranged!
Day camps at His Barn run a full day; from 9 am - 5 pm. You are definitely getting your money's worth in hours alone! Our day consists of two one-hour-long riding lessons, both in the ring and on trail, to learn and build our horsemanship skills. We also have an additional horse class each day to further our understanding of the horse and his world while not in the saddle. This could pertain to anything from cleaning tack and cleaning horses to nutrition and first aid (varies from camp to camp). We provide healthy morning and late afternoon snacks as well as balanced catered in lunches from local restaurants. We also try to accommodate food restrictions and allergies. We avoid artificial colors, dyes, and high fructose corn syrup!
This year our summer theme is LET'S CELEBRATE! We have so much to be grateful for and so many wonders to celebrate. This isn't to say that our lives are always going as we had hoped, nor that tough times are something to turn a blind eye to. We can however, celebrate each other, provide hope and a refuge when possible and find the joy in the God who promises to never leave us nor forsake us. We can find so much to smile about on the road that leads to Jesus. We can celebrate our freedom from condemnation, our freedom from guilt and shame, our freedom from the chains that bind so many - fear, insecurity, feelings of unworthiness. The God we love has come to offer us an abundant life full of faith, hope and love. He loves you unconditionally, He adores you beyond measure and He has forgiven you fully and completely. Come celebrate with us this summer as we reach into our 20th year of business, as we discover never ending reasons to give God all the praise and as we create priceless memories that will always be there for us to fall back on in times of struggle.
